Barely a year removed from graduating top of her class at Azusa High School, Celeste Medina is already making a name for herself at Citrus College — earning a 2026 Phi Theta Kappa All-California Award and third place in fiction writing at the Nevada/California Region Convention, all while setting her sights on a future career as an FBI criminal behavior analyst.

PTK recognizes the academic achievement of community college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Winners represent the best of approximately 2 million students enrolled in California's 116 community colleges.

This year, Celeste won third place in the Most Distinguished Literary (Fiction) category at the Nevada/California Region Convention.

Celeste previously attended Azusa High School, where she participated in the dual enrollment program and graduated top of her class in June 2025. She joined Citrus College this year and enrolled in the honor transfer program. Celeste will be graduating with honors this spring and aspires to attend Cal State LA as a psychology major, ultimately working for the FBI as a criminal behavior analyst.
